Building TableTaste: A Better Introduction to Your Restaurant
The thinking behind TableTaste: helping restaurants present their dishes through a clear, easy-to-explore digital menu.
A menu is the beginning of the experience
Before a guest orders, they need to understand what a restaurant offers. Dish names, descriptions, prices, and a clear sense of choice all help that decision. A menu shared as a photo or a dense PDF can make those simple questions harder to answer on a phone.
TableTaste starts with that everyday moment. The idea is to give restaurants a digital home for their menu, where guests can explore the food without having to interpret a crowded image or download a separate app.
Make the food easy to find
A useful digital menu needs a straightforward structure. Starters, main dishes, drinks, and desserts should be easy to browse, with readable text and prices beside the items they describe. Photography can help introduce a dish, but it should support the information rather than slow down the experience.
Our design direction puts the guest's phone first: comfortable spacing, clear categories, and short descriptions that explain what is on the plate. Any dietary or allergen information would need to come from the restaurant and be kept accurate; guests should still confirm specific requirements with the team.
Keep it practical for the restaurant
A digital menu is only useful if it reflects what the kitchen can serve. Prices change, seasonal dishes arrive, and items become unavailable. Making those details manageable is an important product question for TableTaste, alongside giving each restaurant room to express its own character.
The initial focus is presenting the menu well. Ordering, payments, reservations, and delivery introduce different operational needs; they should not be implied simply because a menu is online.
Start with a conversation
TableTaste is an early product direction from Lastasoft. The interface shown here is a concept, not evidence of a deployed restaurant system or measured results. We want to understand how restaurants maintain their menus and what guests need before expanding the experience.
Interested restaurant owners can use our registration form to prepare an email request. Sending that email starts a conversation with Lastasoft; it does not automatically create an account or publish a menu.
